Lisel Welden, Founder

Hi, I’m Lisel, a strategist, brand builder, and optimist who believes business growth and human growth go hand in hand. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve led teams and transformations at companies you’ve probably heard of (Nike, Lyft, Bleacher Report, Stitch Fix) and a few you might not have yet. Whether it’s launching Lyft’s first brand strategy, leading a turnaround at Bleacher Report, or guiding a rebrand that revived a global gaming product, my work always comes back to one thing: connecting people, ideas, and purpose to spark real results.
I founded Little Giants Collaborative to help companies at every stage (scrappy start-ups, evolving mid-size players, and household-name giants) find clarity, unlock growth, and shape cultures where people do their best work. As a marketer, my sweet spot is the intersection of strategy, creativity, and culture: the place where sharp insights meet brave ideas and grounded, consumer centric execution.
Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of leading international teams, building competency models, mentoring talent, and designing frameworks that make growth scalable (and even fun). I’m also a big believer that business has a role in shaping a better world. From chairing Nike’s Black Employee Network to serving on boards that champion inclusion and equity, I’ve seen firsthand how doing good and doing well can and should go together.
Outside the boardroom, I teach marketing at the University of Oregon, coach soccer, speak on workplace equity and leadership, and chase after two kids who keep me as sharp as any boardroom ever could.
At the end of the day, I’m here to help organizations grow with clarity, creativity, and humanity because the best strategies don’t just drive revenue, they build resilience, community, and a little bit of joy along the way.
